Maruti Suzuki Unveils First Electric SUV, the e Vitara

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automobile manufacturer, has taken a monumental step in its electric vehicle (EV) journey with the unveiling of the e Vitara. This electric SUV represents the company's commitment to sustainable transportation and aligns with the global shift towards greener mobility solutions. The e Vitara is built on the Heartect-e platform, a dedicated electric vehicle architecture that ensures a low center of gravity and enhanced structural integrity. Under the hood, the e Vitara is equipped with a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, sourced from BYD's FinDreams division. This battery configuration delivers a power output of 128 kW, translating to a spirited driving experience suitable for both urban commutes and highway journeys. The vehicle also features Suzuki's AllGrip-e all-wheel-drive system in its top-tier variants, offering enhanced traction and stability across diverse driving conditions. The e Vitara's electric motor setup ensures instant torque delivery, resulting in brisk acceleration and a smooth driving experience.

The exterior design of the e Vitara reflects a blend of contemporary aesthetics and aerodynamic efficiency.
